 Murud Gunung Murud :
Gunung Murud at 2423m is the highest mountain in Sarawak. It is located in the same mountain chain as Batu Lawi. You can start your trekking from Bario which will take around five days. Throughout the walk in the mossy forest, plenty of pitcher plants and orchids can be seen. Look out at the flame burning at the Brunei-Shell oilfield if you intend to camp at the peak. Besides, the presence of wildlife such as the Sumatran Rhinoceros and the world’s largest flower, Rafflesia is confirmed. However, the Rafflesia will only blooms between the month of May to September.
 Batu Lawih Batu Lawi :
Shrouded in local legend are the spectacular twin peaks of Batu Lawi, 2043m, situated on the edge of the mountain chain surrounding the Kelabit Highlands’ plateau. This double peaks stand out dramatically from the surrounding thick jungle. You will need four days to trek there. The rock is very loose and chunks can fall down easily. Thus, visitors should always be careful when conquering them. The presence of wildlife such as the Sumatran Rhinoceros and the world’s largest flower, Rafflesia is confirmed here too. However, the Rafflesia will only bloom between the month of May to September.
 Salt Spring Salt Springs :
Natural salt springs exist in the highlands enable the people to maintain their salt sufficiency and independence. Once, salt is an important economic item that is, as the barter currency.
Now, two or three times a year, a group of people will go to one of these springs to process salt. You can find salt springs in Pa’ Main, Pa’ Umur or Pa’ Bangar.
Fishing Places :
If you like to fish, Bario is the right place for you. There are many rivers in Bario so are the fishing spots. A guide will be a good investment as he keeps you to the right path and shows you the places. There are some fishing technique need to be known to fish at Bario.
 Waterfall Waterfalls :
There are two waterfalls that are popular among tourists which are Pa’ Ramapuh Waterfall and Pa Di’it Waterfall. The waterfalls are situated in the thick forest. A good level of fitness is required. It is worthwhile although the journey might be tough and tiring. It will be a good idea to have someone to lead you there, an experienced guide, perhaps. There are few breathtaking sites and you might have a chance to have a close look at monkeys and gibbons. There are a lot of leeches on the way to the waterfalls. So, be prepared with some ointments.
 Batu Narit Batuh Narit :
Batuh Narit is located at Pa’ Umur, which is about an hour walk from the air port. It is a remnant of the megalithic culture once practiced by the Kelabits. Batuh Narit is located in a paddy filed owns by Mr. Bala Pelaba. To get a good view of Batuh Narit, do not hesitate to inform him so that he can bring you in to the paddy field.
